I am always looking for fun, easy and quick craft projects. Probably because I am the type personality that thrives on instant gratification, therefore needlepoint, sewing a garment with a 18-pc pattern and cross-stitching projects I avoid.
This easy to make creation can be done in a flash and only takes a few simple steps.
First…
Purchase a clay pot and drip saucer from a craft or garden supply store.
Second…
Buy some spray paint in the color of your choice. I used white in this example because it was a gift for my daughter who is slightly obsessed with black and white décor.
Spray the clay pot and saucer outside or in a well-ventilated area. Let dry completely and sit for 24 hours.
Third…
Fill a bucket with air-temperature water. Drizzle 2/3 bottle of nail polish on the surface and lightly stir with a chopstick. Be careful to just lightly swirl for a few seconds and don’t over mix.
Fourth…
Dip the pot in at an angle until fully immersed and swirl up and out of the water. Repeat the same with the saucer. Let dry for 24 hours.
Fifth…
Spray with a fixative (matte or shiny) and let dry completely.
That’s It!
Enjoy!
